Inspired by the desire to renew and share Christian Contemplative Prayer, Fr. Thomas Keating OCSO., founded Contemplative Outreach in 1984.
In the contemplative atmosphere of Kylemore Abbey, this silent retreat offers the retreatant a deep immersion in the silence of Centering Prayer and will feature DVD’s of Fr. Thomas, speaking on such topics as The Pursuit of Happiness, The Human Condition, The Divine Indwelling, etc.
The retreat will be enhanced, by the unique opportunity to join the daily Offices of the Benedictine Community of sisters who reside at Kylemore, with Eucharist, and the opportunity for soul accompaniment with retreat facilitators.
Facilitators: Fionnuala Quinn O.P. Coordinator of Contemplative Outreach Dublin, and Lesley-Ann O’Connor who currently serves on the global team for Contemplative Outreach.
Time: Arrival is from 3 p.m. Sunday, August 25th Prayer of Vespers with the Kylemore Community at 6 p.m. followed by supper and opening of the retreat. The retreat will complete at lunchtime, Wednesday, August 28th 2019.
Accommodation: Single ensuite rooms in (Notre Dame building), Kylemore Abbey
Spaces are limited.
€ 450 euro.
Resident participants: In order to register, a non-refundable deposit of € 100 is required.
Non-resident participants: €100 plus cost of any meals taken at Kylemore Abbey. Registration is required, but no deposit.
